Many people do great things that often get overlooked. Therefore, here I would like to promote the hard work and efforts of the people behind Trakehners Australia. Trakehners Australia (after numerous attempts) submitted an application to the Trakehner Verband of Germany. Now, eligible Australian based Trakehners are able to be entered into the Trakehner Verband of Germany studbook (the parent stud book). The German Trakehner Verband will travel to Australia annually for inspection of foals and classification of mares and stallions. Trakehners Australia will also maintain a partbred Trakehner studbook.
By doing so, you are providing Trakehners Australia with a word picture of all Australian based Trakehners, a foundation for the Breed Association and the future of the Trakehner breed in Australia.
