Acacia Ridge Stud is located in Yankalilla, South Australia and is owned and operated by Denise Dawson. Denise Dawson has been breeding a select number of foals each year for the past fifteen years. Acacia Ridge Stud focus on sport horse breeding, combining imported Warmblood lines and Australian Thoroughbred lines.

 

Acacia Ridge Stud's foundation stallion, Northern Romulus (Falkland Victory/Arnhem (Imp)) competed successfully in dressage with FEI rider Gerry Wellington. His last two competitions were the Spring Championships in October of 2002 where he was Medium Champion and Fleurieu Dressage Festival (two weeks before he died) where he won the Advanced test. Northern Romulus commenced FEI level competition at nine years of age. Due to complications following colic surgery Northern Romulus died, cutting short a promising career. His legacy lives on through his son, AR Bravo Romulus (Northern Romulus (Dec)/Salute (Imp)).
