Broadford / VIC / Australia
Australian Equine Behaviour Centre (AEBC) is located in Broadford, Victoria and is owned and operated by Dr Andrew McLean, his wife Manuela and son Warwick. AEBC has many years of experience standing stallions at stud, including well known stallions Tintagel Magic who competed in FEI Dressage and Woodmount Magic, competing in three star eventing. In 2004, AEBC imported the stallions Alessandro and Da Vinity from Europe.
AEBC is focused on horse training and behaviour modification. AEBC initiated and continues to improve its simple, logical system for training horses. AEBC's approach is unique in that it combines classical training with a strong emphasis on scientific understanding of animal psychology and horse behaviour. Dr McLean holds a PhD in horse training psychology, his thesis titled: The Mental Processes of the Horse and their Consequences for Training, and has authored several international best selling books on horse behaviour, his latest being Academic Horse Training: Equitation Science in Practice. Academic Horse Training: Equitation Science in Practice is available in DVD format and/or as a paperback book.
"Decades of research, coaching and competition experience have produced the worlds first evidence based (based on scientific research) horse training system that is both ethical (does not have negative welfare implications) and sustainable (will serve riders and trainers well into the future)".
