Balmoral Warmblood Stud is located in Narre Warren North, Victoria and is owned and operated by Julia Battams. In 1989, Julia Battams imported the Dutch Warmblood stallion Figaro into Australia. Balmoral Warmblood Stud was established shortly thereafter in 1990.

 

In 2003, Balmoral Warmblood Stud invited a group of interested clients to form a syndicate with the aim of purchasing horses in Europe and importing them to Australia. This syndicate formed what is know as the European Warmblood Syndicate (EWS). Balmoral Warmblood Stud use frozen semen from Dutch (KWPN) and German Stallions. Balmoral Warmblood Stud only offer frozen semen from their stallions so they can concentrate on their competition careers.
